TNR Reunion
Since leaving Logan, UT four years ago, I haven't been on a TNR (Tuesday Night Ride). This ride used to be my weekly adrenaline rush and workout. I looked forward all day to it. I rarely missed a Tuesday in the 5 years I was in Logan (some people take longer to get through school). So to go back this last week and ride was a real thrill. I left with the "A" group and saw a lot of familiar faces while we headed out of Logan towards the west side of the valley. We were flying and it felt good to be right in the mix at the front. After a week off while traveling in Germany, I felt pretty good. The group headed towards "little mountain" and the good feelings started to go away. This little mountain is amount 1 mile in length and very steep. I found myself lumbering up it sucking for air looking around and wondering where everybody went. Just like when I was in school, this hill killed me in the early season. But the change of pace gave me an opportunity to wait for Lee and Tanner Robison. We rode the rest of the ride to Clarkston and then made our way back across the valley the way we came. It felt so good to be in cache valley and to see some familiar faces. Other than the 3-4 times we were yelled at or honked at, it was a great ride.
